Ehsan Youssef was arrested at the first gate of the Tora prison complex on April 8, 2017 and taken to the Maadi department on charges of attempting to bring a mobile phone to prison. She was presented before the prosecution for investigation under case No. 6468 for 2017, Al Maadi Misdemeanors. The prosecution ordered her imprisonment pending investigation. She was granted bail of 5,000 pounds on April 17, 2017.
