Esraa Abdel Fattah and others were arrested in Rabaa al-Adawiya square after a demonstration that began in the embassy district and ended in Rabaa Square on October 5, 2013. They were taken to First Nasr City station and filed under No. 44552 of 2013, First Nasr City Misdemeanor. They were presented before the prosecution. They were charged with resisting the authorities, assembly, obstruction of roads, causing riots, disrupting traffic and joining a terrorist group aimed at disrupting peace and public security. She was released on 500 pounds bail the following day.
