Esraa Hussein was arrested from her grandmother’s house on February 4th, 2022. She was presented before the Public Prosecution on March 3, 2022. She was detained pending trial in Case No. 95 of 2022. The events of the case began with the circulation of a video clip of a group of men and a child in detention cell No. (4) in El Salam Police Station. The group had bruises on their bodies, which they explained that they are the result of torture at the hands of police officers in the police station. Subsequently, everyone who appeared in the video and those who circulated it were included in the case. Her release was ordered in April 2022 and she was removed from trial.
