Fahd El-Sayed was arrested on 18 December 2019 and forcibly disappeared until he was brought before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on 3 February 2020 under the case No. 1530 for 2019, Supreme State Security . He was charged with the crimes of participating in a terrorist group in achieving its objectives, receiving terrorist financing, participating in a criminal agreement for the purpose of committing a terrorist crime, assembly, and using private accounts on the internet with the aim of committing a punishable crime in order to disturb the public order. The prosecution ordered his detention pending investigations. He was released on February 17, 2020.
