Fatima Hasan was arrested on August 24, 2014 during a visit to her mother, who was imprisoned at Burj al-Arab prison. She was transferred to the Burj al-Arab section for interrogation, and charged with joining “Sada” the anti-army and police movement, and trying to sneak an international segment and a flashdrive with inflammatory videos into the prison. She was released the next day on bail of 500 pounds.
