The security officers at the Sheikh Zayed Police Station, through First Lieutenant Wael Abdulaziz Issa, the officer in the department, arrested Gehan Sobhy during her visit to her husband in the department. She had money with her and she was accused of recruiting a number of detainees to cause chaos and rioting within the department on July 28, 2014. She was presented before the prosecution and released on a bail of 1,000 pounds on the same day.
