Ghada Ahmed was arrested along with her husband and others from the Engineers Union Club on October 27, 2017 after the club’s security chief reported them to the police, saying they were carrying Rabaa slogans, after an altercation between them. She was presented before the prosecution and charged with participating in demonstrations and attending a meeting of more than 5 people at the Engineers Club on October 6th without a permit in order to endanger public peace, as well as committing crimes of intimidation and damage to public property. She was subsequently released on October 30, 2017.
