Hoda Mostafa was arrested as a minor in a demonstration in Matarya on April 10, 2015. She was imprisoned in the Matarya section under case No. 3435 of 2015 Al Matarya Directorate. She was charged with demonstrating and joining. She was released on 6/8/15. She was subjected to many violations during her imprisonment – She was previously arrested on 11/10/14 with 8 girls while they were trying to bring in fireworks, 2 firecrackers, a drum, and a big flag with a Rabaa sign over the top of the wall at the agricultural school in Al Azhar University. After the security personnel were called and searched them, they found 300 pounds and 20 dollars, which the security forces paid to keep them. They were released on the same day. Violations she was subjected to: 2015: She was dragged to the armored vehicle and beaten in the section – detained in a 1×1 meter cell which was intended for solitary confinement, but for lack of space in the section it held her and 8 other criminals. She suffered ill-treatment from officers as well as some harassment – the duration of visits was no more than a minute, just handing over some food and personal items only – medical negligence as she was injured by a cartridge
