Marawan Mohamed Fouad

Marawan Mohamed was arrested as a minor on June 6, 2014 during the events of first Ramal. He was presented to the prosecution under case No. 737 of 2014, the child misdemeanour. He was charged with joining a group established contrary to the provisions of the law, demonstrating without permit, assembly, disrupting traffic, chanting anti-army and police slogans, and possessing inflammatory publications, bladed weapons and incendiary materials. The prosecution ordered his detention pending investigations. On 26 November 2014, he was sentenced to two years in prison in absentia, and the verdict was appealed to obtain acquittal on 27 December 2014.
