Mohamed Atef and his father were arrested in their house amidst a security raid in Dyarab Negm, Ash Sharqia on March 17th, 2019. He was taken to an unknown place where he was forcibly disappeared for 4 days before appearing before the prosecution on March 21st, 2019. He was accused of joining an illegally formed group and possessing printed material. He was detained on remand then released on September 25th, 2019.
