Mohamed Gamal was arrested by security forces in civilian clothes in the street after school on January 9th, 2015. He was detained on remand for joining a banned group, insulting the army and police, obstructing traffic, organizing demonstrations, and disrupting the public peace and National Security. He was subject to:
– Enforced disappearance in Al Montazah First National Security station.
– Detention with drug-related criminals.
– Medical negligence as he suffered from infectious skin diseases due to bad ventilation in the detention place and lack of sunlight in the cell.
– Refusal of his family’s demand to transfer him to the hospital.
– Maltreatment of his family in visitations and intransigence of the administration.
– Deprivation of wearing winter clothes to keep him warm on cold days, in addition to the deprivation of food entry instead of the served non-human food.
