After an event, the security forces arrested Mona Ahmed in a security ambush in front of the Police Academy in The Fifth assembly on September 11, 2013, along with others. They were taken to the first assembly section and accused of assaulting a police officer during his work, insulting the army and police, and possessing pamphlets with the “Rabaa logo”. On September 24, 2013, she was sentenced to one year for assaulting a police officer while on duty, two years for insulting the army and police, and six months for possession of “Rabaa logo” publications.
