Mostafa Mahmoud was arrested as a minor on March 31, 2015, from Kafr Saqr police station while awaiting his father’s release. The next day he was presented before the prosecution, who ordered his detention pending investigations. He was acquitted on May 31, 2015. Violations he suffered: – placed in a cell with 11 criminal children – medical negligence, as he suffered a double fracture in his left foot and underwent several operations, including the placement of a nail along the tibia bone with brackets and fastening screws, before his arrest; the nail was removed and he was supposed to have another operation, but the circumstances of his arrest prevented him, and exposed the wound to infections; he needed painkillers and hygiene.
