Naghem Zaaem was arrested in a security ambush on the Cairo-Mansoura road while traveling to Cairo on April 7, 2015 when they found pictures of her detained colleagues on her mobile phone. She was presented before the prosecution and investigated in the report No. 1047 of 2015, Al-Shorouk Administration, and ordered imprisonment under investigations. She was released on bail of one thousand pounds on April 16, 2015. It is reported that she was previously arrested on October 28, 2014 in her home and released the next day after she was beaten. Her house was raided on March 5, 2015 to arrest her, but she was not present and they destroyed the contents of the house.
