Neima Ali was arrested by the Cairo Criminal Court held at the Institute of Police Secretaries in Tarta on March 3, 2015, on the basis of the decision of Judge Naji Shehata to imprison the defendants attending the retrial. She was previously sentenced in absentia to 10 years imprisonment in the case of the events of the Council of Ministers on February 4, 2015. At the third hearing on 3/16/2015, the judge ordered her to be referred to the Minor’s Court, as Nema was less than 15 years old at the time of the cabinet events.
