On June 24, 2020, Egyptian security forces arrested Nora Younes after Egyptian police raided the headquarters of the “Platform” website and searched the computers of journalists working on the site. She was presented before the prosecution, who investigated her under case No. 9455 for 2020, Al Maadi Misdemeanors. She was released on bail of 10,000 pounds the following day. It is noted that Noura Younis was one of Egypt’s first bloggers and previously worked as a reporter for The Washington Post in Egypt and as editor-in-chief of Egypt Today, before becoming managing editor of the platform she founded in 2015.
