Nourhan Adel Ali and some of her classmates were arrested on Dec. 15, 2013, while participating in a protest vigil in front of her school (Future School) to demand the release of the detained female students. They were taken to the department and interrogated by state security officers. Then they were transferred to the Mustaqbal prison. The prosecution there investigated them on charges of disturbing security, vandalism, terrorizing citizens, and taking money from the Brotherhood to participate in demonstrations. They were imprisoned pending investigations. They were released on bail of 3,000 pounds on February 1, 2014 – violations she suffered: – She was beaten when she was arrested – they were subjected to physical and psychological torture inside the prison and were imprisoned with criminals.
