Omar El-Sayed was arrested for the first time, as a student in the preparatory school on April 4, 2014 by mistake. He was tortured until his release. After that, he was kidnapped more than once and tortured by the National Security in Kafr Al-Dwar with the involvement of police secretary “Alaa Mubarak,” who kidnapped him before. He was kidnapped on December 5, 2016 and tortured, as they forced him to drink water and electrocuted him until he suffered a severe swelling of the abdomen and lost consciousness. The national security thought at the time that he died, so they threw him on the rural Alexandria-Cairo road in agricultural land. When he woke, he found himself in farmland. On January 1, 2017, he was kidnapped from inside a photocopy library. He was tortured with electricity, and after the prosecutor saw his body, he released him from the court and deleted the record. He was subjected to strong threats by the informant “Alaa Mubarak” telling him, “I will kill you Omar.” He was arrested again while going to classes and was forcibly disappeared on August 20, 2017 at the age of 17. He was tortured and then appeared and was detained pending investigation. It is noted that the Egyptian authorities denied the fact of his disappearance and claimed that he was assigned by one of the leaders of the Brotherhood to escape to Alexandria and to fabricate his disappearance. Record no. 6974 for 2017 administrative Kafr al-Dwar, was filed and presented to the prosecution. He was imprisoned pending investigations.
