Omar Yasser was arrested in Sandoub, Al Mansoura on April 4th, 2014. He was charged under case No. 6675 of 2014, Al Mansoura First Misdemeanor. He was detained on remand for joining a banned group and writing insults to army and police on Al Mansoura Stadium walls. On October 14th, 2014, he was released on one-thousand L.E. bail. He was sentenced to ten-year prison in absentia. He was subject to:
– Beating in the station and deprivation of entry to hospital for medical examination.
– Maltreatment, insults, humiliation and intransigence in allowing visitations at Dikirnis prison.
