Rabab Gomaa was arrested on June 3rd, 2021 from Bir El Abed Road while she was on her way to visit her husband and she was interrogated about him. She was presented before the prosecution on September 8th, 2021, and she was imprisoned in case No. 1935 of 2021. Her release was ordered on June 4th, 2022.
