Saida Mohamed was arrested on November 18, 2014 when the security services entered the campus of Al-Azhar University “Girls” branch of Nasr City, to break up demonstrations organized by Muslim Brotherhood students. They arrested her and another student amidst the riots and chaos. They were presented before the prosecution and interrogated in case no. 7513 of 2014, Second Nasr City Misdemeanors, and it was decided to imprison them. Bail was set at 5,000 pounds on 31 December 2014, and she was released on 4 January 2015 after being granted bail.
