Shorouk Mostafa was arrested with her sister and others from Al Nadi Street in Tanta on June 8, 2015. They were taken to the first department of Tanta and recorded under no. 7105 for 2015, First Tanta Administration. They were presented before the prosecution and charged with joining a banned group and demonstrating without permit. She was ordered to imprisonment pending investigations. She was released on bail of 5,000 pounds on 6/11/15. She was acquitted on 4/16/16.
