Sohaib Essam was arrested by security forces amidst Housh Aissa events, in front of Al-Salam school in Al-Buhaira on January 27th, 2015. He was detained on remand for joining an illegally formed group, demonstration without a permit, assembly, and possession of inciting printouts, incendiary devices, illegal firearms, ammunition and explosives. He was acquitted on March 14th, 2016 under No. 348 of 2015, total, Damanhour Center felonies. He was rearrested, while he was No.longer a minor, in a checkpoint in Cairo on April 4th, 2018. He was taken to an unknown place. It is noted that he was arrested for the first time on September 9th, 2014, and he was detained for a day before his release. He was subject to:
