Youssef Ahmed was arrested as a minor from Alexandria amidst September 20 events on September 20, 2019. He was forcibly disappeared until he appeared before the prosecution on September 25, 2019 under the case No. 1338 for 2019, Supreme State Security . He was charged with participating in a terrorist group in achieving its purposes, publishment of false news, abusing social media, and participating in a demonstration without a permit. The prosecution ordered his detention pending investigations. He was released on October 15, 2019.
