Youssef Ahmed was arrested while taking an exam in Bani Madhi Al Azhari in Bani Suef on May 15th, 2015. he was detained on remand for joining an illegally formed group and arson of a police car. He was released in the end of June 2015. He was rearrested while riding a motorcycle on July 5th, 2015. He was detained for more than a week without being presented before the prosecution.
