He, along with approximately 20 fans of Al-Ahly Club, was detained at Cairo Stadium during a match against Raja Club Athletic in an African championship. He was carrying fireworks in his bag. Later, he was taken to Nasr City’s Police Department, presented before the second Nasr City Prosecution, and released on a bail of 500 Egyptian pounds. He remained in custody until they were presented to the State Security Prosecution.
