Zeyad Tayser was arrested as a minor, with others on August 28, 2014 during the Events of White Knights in Doran Shubra, where they demonstrated to demand the release of their imprisoned colleagues, under record no. 13271 for 2014. They were detained pending investigations. He and others were subsequently dismissed from the record after being examined by the General Directorate of National Security and released on September 17, 2014. He was arrested again in December 2015 with others. They were forcibly disappeared for a period, during which he was tortured and then presented before the prosecution in the “Dar es Salaam cell” case. He was held in custody.
