The Addition to Terrorism Lists
Since the issuance of Law No. 8 of 2015, which regulates lists of terrorist entities and terrorists on February 17th, 2015, the Egyptian authorities have been using it as a tool to settle political disputes with their opponents.
The danger of this law lies in placing individuals and institutions included on terrorism lists within the framework of criminal and economic sanctions, which infringe upon the freedom of citizens and even their legal existence.
The EPA website provides an analysis of the law regulating lists of terrorist entities and terrorists through an analytical paper entitled “Terrorism Lists, A Closer Look” It also offers a database of individuals and entities added to “terrorism” lists between 2015 and March 30th, 2023, accompanied by a dashboard and graphs containing general statistics on those added to these lists.
Dashboard
Its various pages contain interactive graphs of statistics on individuals and entities added to “terrorism” lists starting from 2015 until March 30th, 2023. The information on the dashboard will be updated every three months.
