Rawda Saad was arrested in a demonstration in Matarya on April 10, 2015. She was imprisoned in the Matarya section under case No. 3435 of 2015 Al Matarya Directorate. She was charged with demonstrating and joining. She was released on 6/17/15. She was subjected to many violations during her imprisonment – She was dragged to the armored vehicle and beaten in the section – detained in a 1×1 meter cell which was intended for solitary confinement, but for lack of space in the section it held her and 8 other criminals. She suffered ill-treatment from officers as well as some harassment – the duration of visits was no more than a minute, just handing over some food and personal items only – medical negligence as she was injured by a cartridge
