Magda Ali was arrested on August 28, 2014, while she was working on a report of her son’s enforced disappearance. She was presented before the prosecution under case No. 376 of 2015, Al Basatin Misdemeanors. She was charged with assaulting a public employee, a police officer, and insulting and slandering the Ministry of the Interior. The prosecution ordered her imprisonment pending investigations. She was acquitted on February 26, 2015.
