Hagar Abdullah was arrested in Tahrir Square on April 2, 2018 while covering the outcome of Egypt’s presidential election, and taken to an unknown destination. She appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution on April 5, 2018 and was investigated under case No. 441 of 2018, Supreme State Security . She was imprisoned pending investigations. She was transferred to Al-Qanater prison and was continually renewed until she was released on precautionary measures on 10 October 2018, and the measures were cancelled on March 17, 2020. – Violations: – enforced disappearance for nearly 3 days – investigation without the presence of a lawyer
