Eman Ahmed was arrested in Shubra Al Khaimah metro station on March 9, 2019 and was forcibly disappeared until she appeared before the prosecution on April 1, 2019 under case No. 488 of 2019, Supreme State Security . She was charged with participation in an activity of a terrorist group, using social media sites to promote the group’s ideas, and spreading false news. The prosecution ordered her to be detained pending investigations and her detention continued to renew until she was released on precautionary measures on 27 November 2019.
