Abeer Saeed was arrested by the Cairo Criminal Court held at the Institute of Police Secretaries in Tarta on March 3, 2015, on the basis of the decision of Judge Naji Shehata to imprison the defendants attending the retrial. She was previously sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment in the case of the events of the Council of Ministers on February 4, 2015. She was transferred to El Qanater prison. She was acquitted by retrial on July 25, 2017.
