Marwa Mohamed was arrested on September 15, 2018 in front of the Alexandria Library. She was unlawfully detained in Bab Sharqi for two days. She appeared before the prosecution and was investigated under case No. 7438 for 2018, Bab Sharq Administration. She was charged with joining a group, possessing an audio-visual work with the goal of disturbing public peace and inciting against national unity, and recording and filming an audio-vidual work without a permit from the Ministry of Culture.
