Nagla Taha was arrested on July 17, 2015, following Eid al-Fitr prayers in front of al-Nour Al-Mohammadi Mosque in Matarya. She was detained pending investigation. On August 23, 2015, a decision was issued to release her. However, she was remanded in custody under the case of the 2015 Revolution Anniversary Events in Matarya, 2015, number 672 for 2015, Al Matariya Administration. She was transferred to El Qanater prison. She was released on March 29, 2016, and discharged on April 5, 2016. She was excluded from the case in May 2016.
