On June 4, 2015, security forces arbitrarily arrested Naima Abdel Fattah and others from Al Bahr Street after an activity of supporters of legitimacy in the city of Mahalla al-Kabir. They were taken to the second police station of Mahalla and charged with participating in the demonstrations. The prosecution ordered their detention pending investigations. She was acquitted on September 20, 2015. The prosecution appealed the verdict, but the acquittal was upheld on November 9, 2015 by a second Mahalla court of appeal.
