Abd El-Rahman Ibrahim was arrested as a minor on May 23, 2014, after the end of an activity of the Alliance for the Support of Legitimacy in Abu Hammad. He was detained pending investigation and then released on May 31, 2014. He was arrested again as a minor from his home on February 12, 2015 during a security raid on Abu Hammad. He was detained pending investigation, and sentenced under case No. 23 of 2015 to 5 years in prison on June 2, 2015. He appealed the verdict and was acquitted on November 5, 2015. He was released on November 26, 2015.
