Sabry Mohamed was arbitrarily arrested as a minor, with others on February 21, 2014 in Alexandria. They were accused of demonstrating without prior written notice, assembly, displaying force and signaling violence in front of the police forces with the intention of terrorizing them. He was detained pending investigations. The Child Misdemeanours Court granted him bail of 5,000 pounds on April 2, 2014 and suspended the claims under the adjudication of adult claims. He was subsequently sentenced to two years in prison in absentia on 15 April 2015.
