Mohamed Khaled was arrested as a minor with others on November 19, 2013, when he was returning from a match and stopped a taxi during the events of the second anniversary of the Mohammed Mahmoud liberation. He was presented to the prosecution under case No. 11874 of 2013, misdemeanours of the Nile Palace, which ordered his detention pending investigations. He was granted bail of 1,000 pounds on 24 November 2013 and sentenced to six months in prison on 13 May 2015.
