Belal Mohamed Hashim

Belal Mohamed was arrested in Fayoum and imprisoned until he was acquitted in April 2015. But he was not released, and instead was forcibly disappeared for three days before appearing before the prosecution under case No. 3055 for 2015, administrative fayoum on charges of possession and use of explosives and joining a terrorist group. He was held in custody pending investigations. He was subsequently granted bail but was forcibly disappeared again before appearing as a defendant in a new protest case. He was remanded in custody under investigation. He was acquitted on March 4, 2018 under case No. 12358 for 2016, 2016, and was granted bail of 2,000 pounds in the demonstration case. He was released on May 21, 2018. – Violations: – Enforced disappearance for days – tortured and beaten during his disappearance – intransigence in releasing him, and rotating him in new cases.
