Abd El-Rahman Abdo was arrested as a minor with others on March 30, 2014, from his home in Al Buhayra during a massive security campaign. He was accused of forming a terrorist cell targeting police officers and journalists in the province, and they were charged with the incidents of burning cars and launching and financing websites to incite against officers and spread their data. They were detained pending investigations.
