Azza Soliman was arrested on January 24, 2015 by the Abidin Prosecution while she was a witness in the case of the murder of Shaimaa al-Sabbagh. She was included in case no. 805 of 2015, Nile Palace Administration, registered under no. 2841 for 2015, on charges of demonstrating during the popular socialist rally in Talaat Harb. She was released on the same day. She was acquitted on May 23, 2015. She was arrested again on December 7, 2016, when a force was sent to her home and brought her before the prosecution for investigation in a foreign financing case. She was released on bail of 20,000 pounds on the same day. A decision was issued to ban her from travel on November 17, 2016, as well as a decision to sieze her funds in the same year. – Violations: – she was attached to a case while she was in the prosecution as a witness.
