Nagwa Abbas was arrested on January 24, 2015 by the Abidin Prosecution while she was a witness in the case of the murder of Shaimaa al-Sabbagh. She was included in case no. 805 of 2015, Nile Palace Administration, registered under no. 2841 for 2015, on charges of demonstrating during the popular socialist rally in Talaat Harb. She was released on the same day. She was acquitted on May 23, 2015. – Violations: – she was attached to a case while she was in the prosecution as a witness.
