Boshra El-Sayed was arrested from home by National Security forces on October 3rd, 2022 due to tweets she posted on her personal account on Twitter calling for demonstrations on November 11th and other tweets criticizing the government and the high prices. She was transferred to the old Police Station in Zefti and she remained there until she was transferred to the National Security in Tanta. She was presented before the Prosecution on October 10th, 2022 and imprisoned in Case No. 1691 of 2022 Supreme State Security.
