Eman Mostafa was arrested on 24-8-2014 from her work for insulting one of her colleagues and his claim that she belonged to the Muslim Brotherhood. She was imprisoned pending case No. 345/135 of 2014 Military Crimes. She was charged with murder, breaking into a public facility, inciting violence, rioting, resisting the police and military, and sabotage. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Ismailia Military Criminal Court on 1 December 2016. She received a presidential pardon on May 16, 2018.
