Fares Gamal was arrested in Al-Sharqiya Hospital Street on April 24, 2016 while going to class, which coincided with a protest march on the hospital street. While he was being pursued by the armored vehicle, he collided with a knight and was injured in both legs with fractures. He was arrested as part of a group of young people and presented to the Abu Hammad prosecution by two soldiers under case No. 10130 for 2016, Abu Hammad misdemeanours. He was detained pending investigations. On September 26, 2017, he was sentenced to three years imprisonment. It is noted that he was wanted in two other cases, No. 4482 for 2016 misdemeanours Abu Hammad, in which all the defendants were acquitted on May 29, 2016, and case No. 10018 for 2016 Misdemeanours Abu Hammad. He was also sentenced to 6 years in prison – Violations: – arrested while injured with fractures and subjected to medical negligence.
