Hana Ammar was arrested on December 24, 2016 and subjected to enforced disappearance for two days. She had been detained while visiting her brother, the detainee Mustafa Ammar Shaker, in connection with the case of the Helwan Brigades. They made a record of her for trespassing, and smuggling mobile phones and 5 mobile phone chips inside the prison. She was presented to the prosecution, which approved her release for 3000 thousand pounds. Her family went to pay the bail, but the department said that there was no one there by that name and denied her presence. However, she was released 2 days after this incident.
