Hend Salah El-din and others were arrested from their workplace (an Arabic Language Education Centre for Non-Native Speakers) in Daqki on July 7, 2019 and taken to an unknown destination. She remained under enforced disappearance until she appeared before the prosecution on July 11, 2019 under case No. 930 of 2019, Supreme State Security known in the media as the “The Hope Case.” She was charged with participating in a terrorist group to achieve its purposes, and publishing and broadcasting false news aimed at destabilizing the security and stability of the country.
