Hossam Ibrahim was arrested when he was returning to his house in Al-Gharbiya on March 15th, 2014. He was detained under case No. 3215 of 2014, Al-mahala Al-Kobra First, administrative. He was accused of joining a terrorist group and inciting violence and demonstrations. On August 12nd, 2014, he was acquitted and the case was closed. On November 29th, 2015, he and his father were rearrested and forcibly disappeared.
