Hossam Ragab was arrested in Helwan, Cairo amidst the events of the revolution’s third anniversary, known as Arab Ghanim events on January 25th, 2014. He was detained on remand for the murder of three persons, attempted murder of others, joining an illegally formed group, demonstration without permit, assembly and destruction of public and private property. South Cairo felonies, Chamber No. 22 sentenced him to three-years prison on May 23rd, 2016.
